I came across this over on Charlotte, Somewhere and knew I had to join in! The year is wrapping up (AND THE DECADE!!!) and I’m looking forward to what 2020 has to offer. But before the ball drops, let’s take a look at 2019!
Are there any books you started this year that you need to finish?
There are definitely books I wanted to read in 2019 that I didn’t, but nothing that I have already started.
Do you have a book to transition into the end of the year?
I really prefer to finish my year clean, with no books in the middle of being read. As such, I will push to read my last book before 2019 ends, and start something new in 2020.
Is there a new release you’re still waiting for?
I think everything that I wanted in 2019 is already out! I am looking forward to lots of 2020 releases!
What are (up to) three books you want to finish before the end of the year?
I was determined to finish The Bear and the Nightingale! It has been on my TBR for far too long, and I told myself I would read it this year! I stuck to that promise, finally, and finished it just after Christmas!
Is there a book you think could still shock you and become your favorite of the year?
I don’t think so? I will likely use the rest of my reading year to reread some old faves! Plus, my favorite of 2019 was one of the first books I read (the fourth, actually) and if it has held the spot as my fave for this long, its unlikely that it will be unseated now!
Have you already started making plans for your reading in 2020?
I have! I plan to start 2020 off with a reread of Skyward, followed by reading Starsight. I have my Goodreads Goal set, and will be participating in two other year-long reading challenges. You’ll be able to keep track of my progress on my blog with regular updates!
