TBR Book Tag

It’s time for another Book Tag! This one is all about TBRs, which is fun since mine is completely out of control. This tag was created by Rachel from A Perfection Called Books and Dana from Dana Square. I saw it over at Charlotte Somewhere, and knew I had to add it to my lineup!

How do you keep track of your TBR pile?

I have a somewhat comprehensive list in my Book Journal/Online Book Tracker, but mostly I keep track of it by keeping my TBR books on my multiple TBR carts. I also have some of my TBR on my actual shelves, and I know they are TBR because I have them set pages-out so I am forced to acknowledge that they are there and unread.

Is your TBR mostly print or e-book?

Mostly print! I have a few in my NetGalley list, but I have been AWFUL about keeping up with that lately. I blame my current reading slump.

A book that’s been on your TBR list the longest?

I couldn’t even begin to determine this. I am PRETTY good about purging my TBR of old books periodically, but I really could not tell you the singular book that has been hanging around for the longest.

A book you recently added to your TBR.

Heart of Flames by Nicki Pao Preto just arrived on Tuesday, so that’s definitely my latest!

A book strictly on your TBR because of the cover.

I am a sucker for a pretty cover, but I can’t say I have any that are on there ONLY because of the cover. I am too picky to buy a book without at least checking the summary first.

A book on your TBR that you never plan on reading.

…wait…what? TBR stands for “To Be Read” not “Will Not Read”. Why would I have something on there that I have no intention of reading?

An unpublished book on your TBR that you’re excited for.

I don’t have a copy of it yet, but I am dying to read Chain of Gold by Cassie Clare. It’s out soooo soon!

A book on your TBR that basically everyone’s read but you.

Serpent & Dove by Shelby Mahurin. I’ve heard great things, but my reading slump is KILLING my ability to get through my TBR pile, so it has sat there unread since it’s release.

A book on your TBR that everyone recommends to you.

Um…idk? Maybe Serpent & Dove again?

A book on your TBR that you’re dying to read.

At this point, all of them. I am so ready for my reading slump to sort itself out so I can go back to enjoying books again.

How many books are on your Goodreads TBR shelf?

782. I have been systematically going through and purging, but that’s an ongoing project that will likely never end.
