I always forget about these covers being so pretty because the spines make the image of Hogwarts and therefore I almost never take them out of the box!

This cover is so simple, and yet I love it. I have this whole set in paperbacks, but would love to have them in hardcover some day!

Ah yes, one of my unicorns. These are pretty much impossible to find in hardcover but I am determined to one day do so.

Not as pretty as the other adult editions, but certainly dynamic! I sort of laugh at this set, because the reason they made them was so adults would feel “more comfortable reading them in public”, but these are so incredibly conspicuous. Lol. Plus, who wouldn’t want people to know they are reading HP?!

  1. Great list! I’m always going to love the original UK editions – they’re the ones I grew up with, and the ones that fill me with nostalgia. I’m not a fan of the newer UK editions – they’re full of spoilers! The cover of the newer Chamber of Secrets literally has the basilisk on the front cover, but if you’ve never read the book before it completely gives away what’s in the chamber.

  6. PoA was always my favorite of the series, though you’re right, the original U.S. cover is just silly. Buckbeak’s neck is stubby and he sorta looks like a Sesame Street character, not to mention Harry and Hermione’s faces… and their clothes! Ugh.
