Welcome to my bi-Weekly meme, The Goodreads TBR Cleanup! This is all about clearing out the MULTITUDES of books we have in our “want to read” lists, which are never ending and often filled with books we have completely forgotten about!

I’m going to aim to do this twice a month, every other Thursday! Fortunately my Goodreads to-read shelf is ever growing, so I should have PLENTY of books to work with for a good long time 😉

I know I did this last week, but my other bi-weekly Thursday post is on hiatus for the holiday, so I thought we may as well make some more room on the TBR! Especially since I definitely added more to it over the holiday 😉

I actually have this physical book on my TBR cart. It popped up recently for a Goodreads Monday, so I even did a small write-up. I definitely have plans to read this, but it will come at a time when I am feeling something from the 20s.

Thirteenth Child by Patricia C. Wrede

Eff was born a thirteenth child. Her twin brother, Lan, is the seventh son of a seventh son. This means he’s supposed to possess amazing talent — and she’s supposed to bring only bad things to her family and her town. Undeterred, her family moves to the frontier, where her father will be a professor of magic at a school perilously close to the magical divide that separates settlers from the beasts of the wild.

I have no recollection of adding this to my list, but it sounds super interesting so I can see why I did! Magic, the wild west, curses? Sounds like my kind of book!

I had this entire series on my shelves for YEARS, but never picked it up. In fact, I recently passed it on to a friend during a recent shelf purge. It freed up SO MUCH space, especially since the series is super long.

First off, I ADORE the covers for this series. I already have this on my shelf, and just haven’t found time to continue with the series. Fortunately I am planning to join a Finish the Series challenge for 2020, so this will definitely make it’s way to the TBR for that!

In the Labyrinth of Drakes by Marie Brennan

Even those who take no interest in the field of dragon naturalism have heard of Lady Trent’s expedition to the inhospitable deserts of Akhia. Her discoveries there are the stuff of romantic legend, catapulting her from scholarly obscurity to worldwide fame. The details of her personal life during that time are hardly less private, having provided fodder for gossips in several countries.

As is so often the case in the career of this illustrious woman, the public story is far from complete.
