Top Ten Tuesday: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets Edition

For today’s TTT post we will be continuing with our HP series and featuring our Top Ten Favorite editions of HPatCoS! The original prompt was Holiday Reads, but we have done several prompts for this topic recently, so we decided to show some HP love!

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly tag hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl! Check out the link for all the awesome upcoming topics!

Without any further ado, let’s oogle some glorious cover art!

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets – Original US Edition

For those of us in the US, it doesn’t get any more classic than this baby!

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets – Illustrated Edition

HPatCoS Illustrated.jpg

I really really loved this cover art! The colors are just lovely and I adore the fact that we get to see this awesome view of the Burrow!

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets – 15 Year Anniversary Edition

HPatCoS 5

This cover is super reminiscent of the Illustrated edition, just with a different style. It’s part of the epic 15 year anniversary box set, with the spines that make an image of Hogwarts castle! I never really get to fully enjoy these covers since I always have them in the box because of the spine art!

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets – Kindle Edition

HPatCoS 2.jpg

I really wish Bloomsbury would release physical copies of the books with these covers, because they really are so dynamic.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets – Original UK Edition

HPatCoS 3.jpg

The original art for the UK Hardcovers, this features the Flying Car just like so many other CoS covers.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets – Signature Edition

HPatCoS 6.jpg

I loooove these covers so much! I do have this in the paperback edition, but would LOVE to someday collect the set in hardcover!

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets – Adult Edition

HPatCoS 7.jpg

This edition forever remains one of my unicorns. I so badly want them in hardcover, but it is next to impossible to find one of the earlier books without paying a king’s ransom and your first born.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets – Adult Editions Take 2

HPatCoS 8.jpg

This artwork is absolutely stunning. The intent was to have a set so adults would feel more comfortable about reading these in public (clearly this was an earlier generation, since I feel zero shame about reading HP in public), and the result was glorious. I don’t own this set, but it’s on the list!

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets – 2014 UK Edition

HPatCoS 4.jpg

From the 2014 set, these covers are so stunning! I love the detail and the art style, and can definitely see these pulling in a whole new generation of Potterheads! I own 4-out-of-7 of these, and will certainly have the remaining few soon!

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets – 20th Anniversary House Editions

HPatCoS house editions.jpg

We can’t have this list without including the glorious House Editions! I have all eight of these beauties, and cannot wait for the day when the series is complete and I have ALL OF THEM!!!

And there we have our Top Ten Chamber of Secrets Covers! Do you see your favorite in the list? Is there one you’ve never seen before? One we missed? Tell us in the comments below!

  1. I’ve never read Harry Potter!!!! 😱🙈😂 Wizardry just isn’t my thing (this tends to horrify many people) <3333

  2. I am so overwhelmed by the number of Harry Potter editions that exist now. I don’t think I will ever let myself have anything but my original U.S. hardback set, because how do you stop once you start?? They’re amazing but I don’t think I could bear to sacrifice valuable shelf space for duplicates, either. However, if I ever win that lottery and buy a cool mansion, I could definitely fill a library wing with these beauties.

  3. What a fun list! I’ve never seen some of these. I read Harry Potter for the first time over the holidays, so for me they will always be holiday books. 😉
