WHAT BOOK KEPT YOU UP ALL NIGHT READING?

This happens way more often than is probably healthy, to be honest. I’ve actually been up last 130am twice this month reading some fun contemporary romances, because apparently that is my favorite time for steamy reads? Similarly, I have a bad habit of reading FanFiction until the wee sma’s. #noregrets

WHAT BOOK MADE YOU SCARED TO GO TO SLEEP?

I draw a hard line when it comes to reading horror, so I could not name a single book that had me too scared to sleep. I just can’t do scary books, scary movies, scary anything! My husband loves it, so we agree to disagree on that point.

WHAT BOOK ALMOST PUT YOU TO SLEEP?

Okay, so hear me out on this one. The Night Circus audiobook. This is NOT because it was boring – on the contrary, I ADORE that book, AND the narrator. However, the narrator is British and happens to have the most soothing voice ever, so when I happened to be listening to it while laying on my bed, it lulled me right to sleep.

WHICH BOOK HAD YOU TOSSING AND TURNING IN ANTICIPATION OF ITS RELEASE?

Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J Maas. We waited TWO YEARS for the final book in the ToG series, two years after suffering from the heart-wrenching cliffhanger at the end of Empire of Storms, and the anticipation was palpable. I definitely left early from work on release day so I could start reading sooner!

WHAT BOOK HAS YOUR DREAM BOYFRIEND?

Rowan freaking Whitethorn from the Throne of Glass series. I would climb that fae like a goddamn tree. I will also give an honorable mention to Draco Malfoy, but only the Draco that exists in the alt universe of Dramione fanfiction. The only thing I like about Canon Draco is Tom Felton (who is amazing, btw).

WHAT BOOK WOULD BE A NIGHTMARE TO LIVE IN?

The Lotus War trilogy by Jay Kristoff. Jay so vividly describes the polluted and devastated wasteland that is the world in this series that I sometimes felt like I could smell the fetid air and feel how difficult it was to breathe. Hard pass on this one.

The Night Circus! I mean, it is literally the Night Circus. Any further explanation seems redundant.

WHAT BOOK HAS A NIGHTMARISH CLIFFHANGER?

Oh you mean, EMPIRE OF STORMS?!?!?!?! DID YOU NOT READ MY ANSWER FOR THE ANTICIPATION QUESTION?! THAT CLIFFHANGER WAS THE LITERAL WORST THING EVER AND THEN WE HAD TO WAIT TWO YEARS FOR A RESOLUTION AND I WILL NEVER FORGIVE SJM FOR IT!!!

WHAT BOOK HAVE YOU ACTUALLY DREAMT ABOUT?

Any time I read a really great Dramione Fanfiction, I then have crazy dreams about it. I rarely have this same result from non-fanfic works, so it must be something in the water over there in FF land. 😉

A Dementor. That would be pretty much horrible.
