WWW Wednesday – November 6, 2019

WWW Wednesday Graphic.jpgIt’s time for another WWW Wednesday, which is currently hosted by Taking on a World of Words! This tag is quite simple, and just asks that we answer the following questions:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

I seem to have actually kicked my reading slump (*KNOCK ON WOOD*) by completely giving up on any semblance of a TBR and just reading whatever the hell I want. Now that I have reached my 2019 reading goal, I’m letting myself stop worrying about only reading “new” books, and have let myself revisit some faves! This has done wonders for my sanity and my book count! That being said, let’s check out my WWW.

What Did You Recently Finish Reading?

Since last Wednesday, I have finished three books *happy dance*!!! I have FINALLY finished Lair of Dreams by Libba Bray, which felt like a huge accomplishment. I then finished kicking the hangover with The Bookworm Crush by Lisa Brown Roberts, which was a delightful YA contemporary. And then I gave into the urge that reading The Fork, the Witch, and the Worm instilled, and did a reread of Eragon by Christopher Paolini, finishing the whole thing in one day all while also getting my NaNo writing in!!!

What Am I Currently Reading?

Eldest by Christopher Paolini. I adore the Inheritance Cycle and being back here again is so nice! I am feeling a lot more contentment with my reading now that I have taken some pressure off myself and just let myself read whatever I want to read. I know I still have some obligations to get to, book-wise, but this is a nice breather.

I am also still listening to Muse of Nightmares by Laini Taylor on Audible, although I am super close to being done! I have just about two hours remaining, and a few more days should knock that off, provided I don’t carpool with my husband the rest of the week!

What Do You Think You’ll Read Next?

I definitely plan to finish off the Inheritance Cycle and read Brisingr and Inheritance by Christopher Paolini. I also have a scheduled review for Kennedy Fox’s upcoming release – Hitching the Cowboy – so I will definitely be binging that in the next few days!

What is your WWW? Have you read any of the books from mine? Tell me your thoughts in the comments below!

  1. Yay for pulling out of your slump! I find that I slump easier when I feel like I need to stick to a TBR, too, rather than just choosing whatever seems most interesting next. You read a whole book AND got your NaNo words in, in one day?! Looking at you crushing it. I’ve never actually read The Inheritance Cycle. I somehow missed the big rush when that came out. xD Happy reading!

    Here’s my WWW post.

  2. I almost always turn to a re-read to get my mojo back after a dry spell and I am so glad it has worked for you! Sometimes we get trapped in thinking of all the things we “should” be reading and we forget the basic premise of reading – it’s supposed to be fun!

I really need to read Eragon. I’m embarrassed I haven’t gotten to it yet.

The Book Worm Crush looks so cute!
