I have continued to be in a massive reading slump, so this probably won’t be very interesting. I’m still holding out hope that I get back into a good reading groove soon!
What Am I Currently Reading?
Oh look…it’s the SAME THREE BOOKS. Why? BECAUSE I CAN’T SEEM TO GET OUT OF THIS FREAKING BOOK SLUMP!!!!
*deep breath* Okay, okay. So to be fair, Muse of Nightmares will likely take me a while, since I am listening to it on Audible during my commute. My commute is 35-45 mins 2xday, 5 days a week. But I also carpool with my husband a few days a week (more lately as my car has been getting some work done) and I don’t make him listen. I have about 3 hours left as of today, so hopefully I can check that off soon!
As for the others…I’m getting there. I set Serpent & Dove aside and am making myself finish Lair of Dreams. Expect a full review of that, because I have thoughts and I need to share them. Soon. Probably.
What Did I Recently Finish Reading?
So, since those other books seem to be trying to kill me, I did take a break and finish two other books this past week! I read both Escaping Exodus by Nicky Drayden and The Fork, the Witch, and the Worm by Christopher Paolini. Neither were very long (TFtWatW is a novella) but they did ease my hangover for a bit, which is always a plus.
Christopher Paolini and his Eragon series are just some of my faves. I actually really wanted to reread the Inheritance Cycle this year, but who knows if I will find the time to do so. Maybe I just say eff it and do it anyway! YOLO!

What Do I Think I Will Read Next?
Tarot. It’s Halloween week and the energies are awesome and my mini-coven (that’s what my friend and I call ourselves) met on Monday to do some spreads for the start of the week. We are going to meet again Friday night for some really in-depth readings, so that will be awesome! Gotta get that magic flowing!
But for actual books, I plan to finish Lair of Dreams and ATTEMPT to read Before the Devil Breaks You. Then I might take a quick break from heavy books long enough to read something fun from my TBR. I have a few books on my TBR cart that have been calling to me lately, and maybe this slump has been my punishment for annoying them!

I’m so glad I’m not the only one struggling to get books read. I mean, I’m not glad you’re in a slump, but wow does misery enjoy company. xD
I want to read Muse of Nightmares! I’ve heard great things about it. I totally need to read Libba Bray’s series, too. Hope your tarot reading went well! Happy reading.
