We have made it to the halfway point for the year and so I thought it was time to revisit my BtB TBR!! This is merely the list I made at the beginning of the year based on the books already on my shelves (either physically or on my Kindle) that I had yet to read. I have managed to make a decent dent in the list, in addition to reading plenty of other backlist books I’ve acquired since (as one does).

I have found that I have felt a good sense of accomplishment from reading so many older books, but I also often feel a little guilty when I want to read new books. In fact, my 2019 releases have suffered because of this to the point where I hadn’t read a single book-box book between the months of January and March. Since I get 3 different boxes each month (FairyLoot, OwlCrate, and UnicornCrate) this meant I was building up quite a pile. In response to that, I have taken a little pressure off myself and started to filter these books in as well. It felt like defeating the whole purpose of this challenge (i.e. whittling down the TBR) if I was just filling it back up on the front end and hunting for backlist titles NOT on my list to fill the prompts.

I am sure that as we move into the second part of 2019 this challenge will become more difficult for me – too many great books for 2019 flooding my wishlists – but I am determined to persevere! I set a goal of 80 and plan to hit it! That being said and without any further ado, here is my updated BtB TBR.
